Casio PX330 Versus Yamaha P155 Can you please add your two cents and tell me if it is worth spending 400$ extra for the Yamaha P155 over the Casio PX330.
I am Piano student who is just beginning Piano classes. I have narrowed down my choices to PX330 and P155 . Initially I was thinking between YPG635 and CDP200 but then decided to go with the PX330 or P155.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

From a technical standpoint, the specs on the two models are similar. However, the Yamaha is built much better and will probably hold up longer to hard use. Most people also think that the Yamaha has a better-feeling action and sounds a little better. Finally, the pedals on the Yamaha are better made and less likely to break.
The PX330 has more extra sounds and features than the P155. however, as a piano, the P155 is a better instrument.
If you're serious about piano and can afford the difference, than I'd get the Yamaha. If you're not sure whether you like piano or not or if you're on a very tight budget, than the Casio is a decent alternative. But the Yamaha is worth the extra money.
You might look at a Korg SP-250 also. This is another nice, inexpensive DP.

I think the only reason to get the Casio is if it is much lighter than the Yamaha and you want portability. Or if you need to save $400, because you need the money (or because you're not sure if you will even keep playing piano). Or also if you really really want some of the "extra" features of the PX-330, like rhythms. But strictly as a DP, yes, the Yamaha wins.

Finnaly today I ordered my Casio Privia PX330 From 'Woodwind & Brasswind'. http://www.wwbw.com/They gave me a sweet 20% discount and also free shipping and no sales tax. So the price was really awesome . PM me if you want to know the price i got and if you want to know the agent name and extension who gave that price to me. I decided to save 400$ by going with the PX330 I think for a beginner like me this is just perfect and if you ask any one they will tell you that CASIO is the best bang for the buck and I have visited so many music stores before I brought this and everyone agrees that the new PX330 is way better than the previous privia's and most of them were of the opinion that with the new Privia models Casio is pretty close to catching up with the Yamaha's. thanks, Amu.
