It'd be neat to watch the ripple patterns in the water when you play it.

You have to wonder how that happened.

Charles,

They've been having all kinds of rain with flooding all around. On the news the other day, I saw a house on fire (broken gas line) with flood waters all around it. Lucky for me, I'm on the other end of the state.

Well, given that the bushings are likely the size of breakfast sausages now, I'm thinking you could play each of the keys once, and that would be the end.

It rained a lot down there.

Did anybody notice what the person put in the advertisement?

"Might need a tune up."

Just maybe ;-)

No, but it might have needed a Floodd-Chaser. But those Baldwins are tough, they don't need nothin' like that, like them other sissy pianos.

Someone needs to snatch this baby up, let it dry out a little, and it will be just fine.

So now, which would cost more, the wholesale cost of the parts to rebuild/restore the piano to new condition, or full list on a similarly-sized grade 1 piano?

Never mind that. We should take bets on the over-under for how many cracks the soundboard will have after it's dried out. Not to mention the ribs. And the cabinet.

You're going to be working from a naked harp here. Find out what it costs to build a piano starting with that. smile
