The X Pro is just being released here in the US. There seems to be a little more information available over on your side, but being brand new there's probably not much in the way of feedback available yet.

Being based on the Kurzweil PC3 which is a pro workstation, the X Pro is a *very* different animal than the RG-1 which is a straight-ahead DP.

We'll have more on the X Pro in the next edition of PianoBuyer.

I remember reading somewhere that the X Pro was basically a reboxed PC3 with build in speakers.

I have owned a Kurzweil PC3X since March 2008. The XPro is a somewhat similar instrument - the keyboard has been redesigned to fit in a "grand piano" case that looks good in a living room. Such things as the various connections (which are on the back panel of my PC3X) have been moved as needed for access, including the xD memory card slot.

A good amplification system and speaker system has been set up in the case and properly matched to the keyboard.

Look at Kurzweil's website on the PC3X for general specifications and some sound samples. From what my contacts have said, the instrument will be quite similar, with some programming changes appropriate to a system designed for home use - probably some voicings different, maybe some rhythm patterns different. The instrument has been shown on some European and Asian web sites, but not yet in the US.

BTW - I am quite well pleased with the playability and sound of my PC3X, which spends most of its time acting as my studio piano. I was well enough pleased to also purchase the 76 key PC3 for travel and gigging. Very personal thing, but I like the acoustic piano sounds better than any other electronic instrument that I have tried.
