Hi all maby you can help me i do most of my writing in my studio. But kinda got sick of turning on the computer that the midi controller and so on,

So i thought of buying a good digital o practice write music and teach vocals.
I am picky of sound. I went to gutair center and played cp300 and the Roland v i liked both. But the v sounded deeper. But what bugs me it is has no speakers. And what speakers would be good for it. So anyway i got the cp300 but know i am having second thoughts,

WHat to do? is the V more then i need

I don't know the CP 300, but the Roland V is probably way way better than that. Ideally you'd have a 4 speaker set-up and you can find that info here and on other forums from Roland owners. Run a search here on the V.

It seems that if you are not a pianist, the V might be more than you need, but if you can afford it!

It doesn't have a lot of features than other DPs have that would help with writing.

Just curious, why did you compare the V to the CP300? Seems like an apples and oranges comparison (in purpose and price). If you're willing to go up to V level pricing (plus speakers to boot), aren't there other units you should also be looking at (e.g Roland RD700)? Also, when you mention that the V "sounded deeper", where you using headphones or listening to whatever speaker rig they had hooked up to it? With the difference in pricing, you could buy a killer speaker rig to connect to the CP and get pretty good sound as well.

Be honest i just wanted a rig that i can use to teach singing. And not take so much space and maby use it for recording. I liked the cp300 because the feel.
I saw the v paino in gutair center hooked up to Yamaha 80 white cone.

It did upset me the v did not have speakers in it.

But i feel maby the cp300 is a little cold sounding. The sounded closer to a real paino. But the price did bother me i think it might be to much for it.

Well if your budget goes all the way up into V territory, then you have a whole universe of options available. You would be well served to go down to your local Yamaha, Roland and Kawai dealers and check out what they have to offer.
