How would one take credit for an arrangement of an arrangement?

Example:
The piece is a hymn that has been arranged and published by a particular arranger. I add to the piece as if improvising by adding some runs, breaking up chords, adding notes/chords, more rubato, etc. Basically, in my opinion, I make the piece more "full" and interesting. The piece is pretty much my own, however at the same time is very much the original arrangers. I obviously couldn't take credit as if it was my own original arrangement.

If the concert program were to list the title, and on the right the original hymn composer, the arranger listed under the composer, and then....? Shouldn't I put somehow that I arranged it more? How would I list it?

I have no idea if any of that even makes any sense.

Some composers take credit, by releasing a seperate cadenza. Brahms did this for some Mozart and Beethoven concerto's.

I've seen the French après used when a composition was inspired by someone else's work. So perhaps, Arranged by jpahlow après Whoever.

In programs where a pianist plays a version of a famous transcription, I've seen things like:

"Carmen Fantasy" Bizet/Horowitz/Kuleshov
