tremens, delirium,
Can you play at this level? because not many people do. Can you tell what meter the song "Breath" is in by ear? Do you know how to play over something like this?
Can you tell me what meter this tune is in? I am sure with your ears, you'd be able to figure it out easily right?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVRFtu2FrREHow do you know I don't play by ear when you haven't heard me play at all?
I asked you once before, but do you actually play jazz? If you can play like this guy I sure would love to hear it. Maybe you can demonstrate to us how to play by ear over that tune. I'd love to hear what kind of chords/lines you play and how you would interpret this tune. I am sure we would all appreciate it!!
I mean, gosh, if you are really that good enough to say how most of the stuff out there sucks, then you must be a genius, by all means we'd love to hear you!! Do you have a website we can go to hear your music? if not what a shame!!
By the way, I've heard the sax player in this recording play Coltrane's solo from "countdown" note by note . I am sure he spent hours transcribing and shedding that on his axe. Knowing that, John Clayton's idea of learning an entire CD by ear doesn't sound that stupid at all. Or do you think the sax player is stupid too for learning the coltrane solo?
