Hi Chris,
Very nice playing of this early Mendelssohn Song without Words. Beautiful! Thanks for posting it.
I've never played this piece, but did study Op. 19, No. 4. There are enough pieces in this collection to keep any pianist busy for a long time, and there is a great deal of variety there too offering something for everyone.

Thanks, David. I was noodling around Youtube in recent months and came across a stunning performance of this beautiful piece. So I had to try it myself. I bought the entire set of Songs without Words (because I couldn't find the piece by itself), but it was a reasonably-priced Kalmus edition. I did note that the Youtube performances played the 2nd half of one single measure differently than the Kalmus edition showed it, so I adopted the performers' version.
And yes, there are many pieces in this set --- too much!
But right now, my attention has moved on to Debussy's Children's Corner Suite. I just bought it yesterday (about 6 bucks) and I'm going to try to make that my next project.

Hi Chris,
"Children's Corner Suite", as you know, is a wonderful group of pieces. You'll enjoy studying those. Good luck on that!

A very nice rendition. Thanks for sharing this.
This one has been on my list to learn for a while now. I still haven't gotten much past sight-reading the first page at about a third the tempo a couple of times.

Thanks, HomeInMyShoes. A couple of months (or so) ago I was on Youtube picking out classical piano pieces to listen to, and I stumbled across a couple of great performances of this piece. That's what inspired me to learn this beautiful little number. I hope you continue on with it.
