Hi SC85 and other 1ers - sorry for the late response. To give an intro:

I'm an on-again off-again player. Took piano lessons as a kid, quit after 8 years to pursue the electric guitar (like many early teen-agers). I've been dreadfully regretting quitting lessons ever since, as I slowly watch my skills wane.

I still consider myself an adult beginner because I've developed some bad piano playing habits since quitting as a kid and have become an ear-player. I came to this forum to see if anyone had exercises for scale/chord memorization for the impatient player . As not to plague this thread with an actual subject I'll look through other thread to pursue this topic (maybe someone can point me to one?)

Anyways, I'm also comparitively green in the forum world, but I'm happy to see such a great group of users with a common passion. Cheers!

The ONE you want would be the topic called: "OT-Tell us about yourself". That would be the ONE in which to tell us your whole sordid story- the sordid-er, the better!

That's one[/b] wise decision. You can start a new thread asking for memorization tips; you can also search the archives (click on 'search' at top of the page) for scales, memorization, etc. and you will find a wealth of advice.
