Is the best way of finding an independent piano technician just to do a Google search? Does anyone know a good tech available in the general region of the Detroit suburbs?

Thanks.

Arnie,

Go here - Piano Technicians Guild - and you should find who you're looking for. Good Luck!

Besides the advice given above, I'd also ask those technicians that you meet or phone who they feel is the best qualified for what you may be looking for. If they all answer "me" then you have a problem, but I imagine that if they have any integrity they may all point to one,two or three individuals that stand out from the crowd.

Its a good technique to see who you has the most respect in the area, too.
