I was wondering if anyone had any background information on pianist Andrew Harsant. I came across his music on Itunes--Piano Hymns. Beautiful stuff. But have not found out anything about him on the Internet via a Google search--other than some sites where his tunes can be downloaded. I suspect he might be British however. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, Sandy. smile I looked Harsant up on Rhapsody (an online music station I subscribe to), but they had never heard of him, either. frown

If you like beautiful hymns for piano solo, check out David Nevue, www.davidnevue.com, particularly his "Adoration" album/sheet music collection. Lovely arrangements. thumb

Folks,

I've been able to answer my own question! Although the pianist is listed as Andrew Harsant on his Piano Hymns cuts, I decided to try "Andy" Harsant on Google, which I hadn't thought of before. Lo hold and behold, it's the same guy and there's some more sites (under Andy Harsant) that give some info. He's musician and producer from England who specializes in worship music. Really good stuff--very evocative and tasteful. Thanks!

Sandy
