Hi all, new to this forum.

I was just wondering what you would consider what volume on a Yamaha Clavinova would sound most realistic compared to a normal piano?

Thanks

Probably the maximum position on the volume slider. However, even then, I doubt this would match the volume potential of an acoustic.

Cheers,
James

I think it sounds the best around 75% , which is not laud enough but anything above that starts to sound too harsh. I am not sure how to articulate that.

I keep my Yamaha DP master volume low enough that I don't get that very abrupt percussive start to the note.

I don't know what you call that kind of distortion. It's not the usual timbre variation you'd see with speakers.

Nearly impossible to overdrive a Clavinova sound system.
