I tried the Roland RD700 GX at Sam Ash last night and fell completely in love with the whole thing. The question is, I really don't need the the non piano synth sounds, just the piano. Does Roland make a DP with the RD700 GX's sound and feel?

Thanks!

Or, more economical is the DP-990, with a very fine piano sound and action.

I'm thinking the reason the OP make this post is that he wants the 700GX's piano touch and sound without the bells and whistles because perhaps it'll cost less.

If that's true, The 700GX can be had for around the same or even cheaper than the DP990. And DP990 don't have the ivory feel keys.

The HP207 is great, but cost more than the 700GX.

The 700GX can be had new online from eBay for around $1800 shipped, some of them are authorized Roland dealers as well.

I really like the ivory feel keys. Went basic to the traditional plastic ones, at one point, and didn't like 'em.
