#1306191 - 11/15/09 05:30 PM First digital piano - Casio PX-830, Roland F-110 or YDPS-31?

We are looking for a console style digital piano that will look nice in the living room for 2 young learners. Space is really tight so we're only looking at the slim consoles. I've looked at reviews/forums online, visited a few piano shops locally and after considering stage style pianos like the Korg SP250 and Yamaha P85, have narrowed down the choices to:

The new Casio PX830 which sells for about £720. I like the idea of the textured keys and their weighted keys but I haven't been able to find a place in London that stocks them yet - only online.

The Roland F-110 which has a nice slim look and good feel to the keys- about £900.

Or the Yamaha YDPS-31 for about £600 that I'm a bit less interested in now that I've checked out the Roland.

I'm a bit worried about buying the PX-830 sight-unseen so if anyone has any input about this piano it would be much appreciated as we'd like to purchase a piano this week. Any opinions of these pianos or suggestions for other digital pianos, retailers, etc., would be great since I'm new to digital pianos.

These would also be the upper limits of our price range since while we are looking for a realistic piano keyboard feel, we think that the kids may get more out of a higher end piano in 5+ yrs time. Thanks in advance!

The Roland has great samples, and an excellent keyboard feel. I'm guessing that it is way ahead of the others.

Good luck with your decision,
