Can someone help me with the chords for a song. I am trying to learn Running Faster by The Sleeping but I can't figure out what chords they are using. It sounds like it has two parts the verse and the chorus. If you can figure out the exact chord(Am7-Bm7...) that would be awesome but I'll be happy even if you can help me with out the basic progression(A-B...). The verse looks complicated when written out, but it is essentially the notes Bb and D played over a chromatically descending bass line (G, F#, F, E)When the bass line comes in, the last chord could be called a C9, as the bass note (fleetingly) plays a C.

The bridge "chords" are hard to pin down as the bass line makes the roots ambiguous.

If you wouldn't mind indulging my curiosity, how did you go about attempting to learn to play the song?

I listened to the first chord and just went through the major chords until I found the chord which sounded closest to it, in this case it was a G.
