Hi, everybody, I'm a Seattle pianist with a lot of experience playing chamber music, and I'm very interested in finding some other local pianists who are interested in both four-handed and two-piano playing, primarily for fun but also with possible performing in mind. Anybody out there? Mike Carroll/Seattle WA klavier44@aol.com phone: 206-328-0306

Yes, I am and I recently was invited to join a Seattle piano group but I am not one of the leaders so I am not at liberty to extend an invitation, much as I'd like to. I understand the leaders feel the group is getting too large.
If you live on the eastside, I'd be interesting in getting together and maybe starting a group of our own, but Seattle is a bit of a trek, especially on a work day. I'm in Redmond.

Just happened to check the forum and saw this post from local members, as I live in Newcastle/Bellvue. Have to ask, and maybe this a question with an obvious answer, but what is a piano group? Is it just an opportunity for pianist to play four handed pieces?

If we started an eastside group, I think we could define it anyway we wanted. The Seattle one meets in people's homes on a weeknight, once a month. Host duties rotate. The host provides beverages and snacks. Everyone plays.
My preference would be to stick to classical music. Four handed pieces would be great. Finding the time to learn them would be a problem for me.
If we can get enough people (say 10?) to commit to once a month, we could do this.
