- Hi Guys, I tried out a F-110 today, seems a nice piano, compact, with a lid, and the pedalling is OK, for us long legged folk. According to the spec the F-110 has the PHA-alpha-II Keyboard, the top of the range HP-207 has just PHA-II, no alpha mentioned, does anyone know what the difference is. I know the HP-207 has escapement and ivory feel keys, is that it? -

Perhaps the answer is here ? Make a browser search for 'alpha', it is mid-page.

The alpha is lighter and had no escapement; another model with this keyboard is the FP4, so you may search in this forum for the FP4 keyboard. Some like it a lot, others prefer the heavier action of the FP7 (no escapement) or the HP203 upwards.

^You mean the F110 is more like the HP 201 in terms of action? So, heavier than the FP4 and RP 101?
