Watch out for too good to be true listings on craigslist. Below details something discovered the other night...
The other day I saw this ad on craigslist...

Sounded innocent enough. A B3 AND a 122 Leslie for $2300. Sounds like a
deal. Except that it seems too cheap to be true.
Well, I'm too busy fixing them to buy it, but I have a friend who is a
dealer so I put the guy in touch with him. They swap emails and it gets
better. Included is a Trek II UC-1A. And FREE shipping. Now it's a real
deal.
So I'm at my friend's place tonight and we're trying to decide if it's
for real or not. So he googles the guy's phone number. Up comes a link
to a website for "Ken's Organs and Bikes" in Ashland, Ohio. What a
combination! Same phone number as the guy selling the B3, but the guy's
name is different on the web page. It's Ken Dewiel, not Colby Smith, who
is selling the B3.
Then it gets better. My friend decided to look at the organs that Ken's
Organs and Bikes is selling.. Well, what do we have here? He recognizes
the pictures as the same organs on another Hammond dealer's website. See
for yourself..

categories. I especially like that both websites show the b3hammond.com
banner in some pictures.
Doing a whois search on kenorganbikes.com shows...

So not only is this fellow offering organs for sale that are not his,
he's also hidden his identity from a whois search.
