Bill – Your “Away in a Manger” is so sweetly played and sung. I love how you sway with the music before you start singing. Your videos are always great to watch!

That was great Rob! On your other recordings, it sounded like your piano was a real acoustic; that digital sure did sound good though, and your playing was superb!

Elssa, your music was delightful! I enjoyed it much!

In fact, all the submissions here were great!

Take care,

Rick

Rob - I can't say evoked bleak winter for me - more like sleepy kids dozing off after a day of sledding and building snowmen smile Very nice.

Elssa, loved Christmas Waltz, too!

Wow, you folks are going all out for Christmas this year! I have to say I've listened to everyon'e pieces, and they are all terrific. And, Elssa, I do know The Christmas Waltz and I play it. Not as well as you do, though. I want to sing now . . . "It's that time of year when the world falls in love. Every song you hear seems to say Merry Christmas . . . etc."

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments.

I am loving everyone's contributions on here.
Such amazing talent and diversity of music!

I love all Christmas music. It takes me back to my childhood, playing piano/harmonium in the small freezing chapel, in my native Wales.
Many fond memories.

Keep 'em coming :-)

Rob, your "Bleak Mid Winter" was gorgeous. "Bleak" is not an appropriate adjective at all, I agree. "Serene" fits the atmosphere of the piece much better.

Carl, "What child is this?" has always been one of my favorite carols. (And it's nice it can pull double duty on off months as "Greensleeves"! laugh ) I enjoyed your playing... the flourish at the end was especially pretty. But it was too short. You can always play it twice through for the extra verse(s). wink

I took a half hour study break today and spliced this together. Violin and piano duet by myself. laugh I was sight reading both instruments so it's definitely not my best playing, but lots of fun!
