This is my first composition, so it isn't anything special (in my opinion). All comments and criticisms are welcome. If the link doesn't work, please tell me and I'll try and fix it. http://www.box.net/shared/vd035qxi7kNot score at the moment, sorry. I actually did this on GarageBand, as I don't have anything like Sibelius. Enjoy (hopefully).

Thank you for the complements. Yes, I notated it in GarageBand and sent to iTunes from there. Because GarageBand is very limited in this area, I actually had to write out the trills and there is another ornament I wanted to add but couldn't (this is partially why I didn't show the score). I'm glad you liked it . The quotes in my signiture? Yes I like them too. Shame it has a word limit else I'd write more

it definitely does sound vaguely like Chopin. But your style is also heard in it. Very good composition in my opinion

I'd like to hear it but the link asks me to "download" it and I usually don't like to do that.......

I liked it very much. Especially the melodic tune in the right hand...the left hand was a bit heavy in places, but that is only my opinion. I really loved the melody.

Hey Chopin4life, Nice piece you wrote! I too feel that the left hand is a bit 'heavy', but that might have to do with the player. (I wrote two waltzes and one of them is played by midi-it sounds a bit heavy LH too) The melody is very nice. I do feel that the end is a bit repetitive, but that might have to do with the LH also. Keep composing! Jis

Thanks for your comments. It is played by a computer but I don't know if that has anything to do with the left hand being too 'heavy'. It certainly could do with some dynamic range, rubato, balancing of the hands and voicing that can't be achieved on a computer (or at least on the basic programme I used). The melody, I thought, might be too simple, but if you say it sounds good, then that's all that matters. The ending came into existance because I wanted to do 'an ending' of some sorts. Before that it ended quite abruptly without anything new. I thought the current ending was better than no ending, but I don't want it to be boring by the end. Thanks for that feedback. I keep making slight changes to it here and there where I'm not happy with it. I suppose I'm like Chopin in that respect. Thanks everyone for your compliments.
