Hi all,
I have recorded songs into Cubase from my Roland FP4, and edited it, etc.
Now I want to record the songs as a .wav file, using the sounds coming out the Roland.
To do this, is it possible to play the song via the computer (Cubase) into the Roland via the USB cable, and to have the line out (Output jacks) going to another computer running Cubase also to record the audio as a .wav file?
Has anyone done this?
Thanks for any input!

you should not need two computers. I can do that just with one. I don't know about cubase but playing one track while recording to another in a fundamental ability of all multitrack recorders. All multi-tracking recording depends in this so I'd assume any decent DAW could do this.

If I understand you correctly, you wouldn't need a second computer.
Just record the audio track in the normal way,(from the line out of your Roland) whilst monitoring the midi track, which is using the Roland as a sound generator.

OK, great, that sounds even better to not need 2 computers! I will give it a go...
