I'm looking for a midi controller with 88 keys(Graded hammer standard) that are velocity sensitive. For under 400USD. Even 76 keys would do. So far the best one i could find was this(Maudio keystation pro 88) http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/KeystationPro88.htmlbut this is out of my budget, and has other knobs and controls that i dont need. My only requirement is to use it as a midi controller to drive a vst such as pianoteq, so i have a good sounding piano in my hands. thanks in advance

Don't get that m-audio - it's terrible. Get a Casio Privia of some sort.

Guitar Center still has inventory of Yamaha KX8 in stores. Price about $300 and they have GHS keys.

no way, the kx8 has to be $700. I am pretty sure for $300 you are not going to have decent hammer action, all that wood, levers, and closely machined mechanical parts costs money. heck for $300 you can't even get a good trumpet, and you want 88 keys of a very precisely machined keyboard? Of course, if you lower your standards and go with an unweighted keyboard, like the m-audio 88es it will only cost $200.

I have a cme uf80.
I went that route about a year and some ago, the m audio was crap.
After alot of reading and playing, i got the cme
full midi, weighted (not on the heavy side, but shreddible) I was about to put it on ebay actually (to make room for my p155 when it gets here) I can take video and pictures if you are interested in seeing or learning more about it.
