This is my first shot at composing, I did it at the same time as another one so it's really my first, but second one also haha.

I really enjoyed this! It's a very exciting piece. Have you played this on a piano? There was a comment on youtube about that. I would really like to hear it performed rather than a midi file. I think it would do it more justice that way. smile

You must have huge hands...I see lots of 10ths in the LH. Perhaps reconsider revoicing this to make it more accessible for most people who can't do this, or make an indication that they shoudl be rolled.

Great job! smile

Thanks for the comment! No I haven't played it on a piano, I'm not sure if I can be bothered learning it. I think it's like your own cooking, I would rather learn someone elses composition than mine. Of course if it was easier I would give it a go, but it's not easy. The only 10ths are right at the end, where it's really slow. No my hands aren't huge, but I can reach a 10th.

I used to think that way. It's self defeating. If you can't be bothered don't expect anyone else to.

How well I know this syndrome. Here's the way it was for me. I was trying to make a STATEMENT! and so I wrote difficult music. When I actually tried learning some of my music I discovered little things that were unnecessary and thus made unnecessary difficulty. In simplifying those things my music became easier to both hear and play.

Of course things may be entirely different for you. But both your playing and your music will probably benefit from your making the effort to learn it. BTW, my cooking improved when I started eating food I cooked myself as well. Bon appetit!

Yes.

I liked it a lot. Very interesting and original. I think it would be a tough one to play, at least for me.
