So, I bit the bullet and bought a Roland HP 203 on friday!
Obviously, I had not time over the weekend to post this. lol

Anyway, I feel lucky, becouse, the second I decided to buy it, I went to a do a last check on the grey market, and there it was. A Roland HP 203, used for less than a month, by some girl, who went to university and bought it there, but found she had no time to play and didn't like the fact that it just stood there. So she sold it.
The first price was 1250€, but I managed to get it down to 1200.

Sofar I'm extremely pleased with it. It has great sounds and a fantastic feel! I don't really miss the ivory feel as I thought I would.
The soundsystem is awesome!

Basically, it kept me occupyed over the entire weekend. I didn't even have time to eat.

The only thing that bothers me is, that when the lowest B or C are pressed at maximum volume and with a high force, there's a buzzing sound. Is that normal?

Anyway, I still have like a year of warranty, and if something's out of order, I'll just take it to the store and get it fixed. It does cover that, right?

Congratulations on your purchase! The price was very good indeed.

Have you ever tried an HP207? If so, can you please tell me if you notice a big difference between these two DPs? I myself am in the process of upgrading my DP.

Best regards.

Likely the speakers of amp is being over driven. Basically you are asking the speaker for more sound than it can make.

You can see if this is the case by listening in headphones or by connecting some much better external speakers. If the distortion goes away then you know the source of the problem.

It takes some very high end, and expensive speakers to reproduce the low register convinsingly

^^I've tryed the HP 207 only briefly in a crowdy store.
I really liked the ivory touch, but I can't comment on sound and similar stuff, becouse it was very noisy and I had very little time to play with it.
Also, can't compare it to the HP 203, becouse the HP 207 was the only Roland at the shop.

^I've actually figured out what was causing this! I think.
Well, it was buzzing when I first got home, and the room with the piano in it was quite cold.
Than I turned on the heater and the room temperature rose, and it stopped buzzing.
So, I'm guessing some parts expanded back to their original form.
I'm also guessing that's not really good for the piano.
