Most excellent playing, TLF! I always enjoy listening to that tune.

Glen, you should come round my place. I've been playing it non-stop. It gets a bit wearing after a while. wink

Glen - love your blues!!! This is the type of blues I can only hope to play someday. Your music is so relaxing. I agree with the person who said they felt like they were at a piano bar (only I'd be sipping an old fashioned instead of a brew)!

I also would be interested in knowing how you started playing this type of music. Was it stictly by listening to other musicians or did you have some type of formal training?

Thanks again and I quote Larry above "DO quit your day job"!

Thank you to everyone who posted their work on the piano bar this month. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every piece. I am absolutely blown away at the creativity and musical expressiveness. One word comes to mind - Class!!

Hopefully one of these months I'll have something to post on this forum. Until then may you have a very blessed holiday season and a Happy New Year!!

Thanks all for your kind comments. I'm sort of forced sometimes to be creative and make up my own arrangements with my small hands. It's fun, though. smile

Hello,

I'm sending this famous and begginer piece just in the spirit of participating, I am quite far away yet to play decently.

Hope you enjoy it.

Hi al-mahed. Thanks for posting this, you did a great job. Isn't Bach fantastic? Simple enough to be within our reach, but still so beautiful. I hope to hear more of your playing.

Love it! thumb Just wondering, is your left hand playing something like this?: a, e, a, b, c, b, a, e. How did you come up with that? Thanks. smile

Elssa thanks, and yes about the left hand except that it is Dm instead of Am.

You can see the score here http://texas-trax.com/gwtw.htm

I don't remember where I got the 1, 5, 8, 9, 10 LH pattern but it keeps showing up occasionally in my music.

al-mahed,
I really like your playing - an inspiration. Keep up the good work and keep posting. This kind of practice to get it to your satisfaction is quite valuable.

Elssa,
I very much enjoy watching and listening to your video clip(s). (Chatenooga Choo-choo boogie!) Together, your technique and stylings are wonderful!

StudioJoe, Larry and inlanding, thank you for the comments!

I'm trying to play the other minuet, anh 116, also in G major - which I think is more beautifull than the anh 114, but it is more difficult either (I saw some graded pieces material somewhere saying that both are level 2, I disgree because the anh 116 is taking me MUCH more time to get it correct).

Andy,
Spot on!

That was excellent, a great intro, such clean style and wonderful flavorings each round. I liked it so much. That's about as good as it gets!

Thank you, and Happy New Year to all my musical friends - so glad I found you!

Music...we all have it in common.
