Not my piano. I play this at a retirement center. Do have access to a manual, but, no help.

Tonight when I turned on the piano, it sounded very muddled. It became obvious that the whole thing 'slipped' an octave. That is, the sound made by middle 'C' was what one would normally hear from 'C' and octave lower.

Obvious option was to move the piano bench an octave to the right. Spent one-half hour reading the manual instead of playing. My final desperate workaround was to use the transpose function and shift the entire keyboard down one octave. This worked for the evening although it left the final upper octave totally voiceless.

No amount of 'rebooting' the piano fixed the problem. The manual states that upon 'boot-up' all the defaults are re-set. Not tonight!!!
All help appreciated.
