Hello,
I search the all the web, including this forum because I own a Yamaha MX-300 MR (Disklavier) upright piano and I wanted to know the differences between MX-100/U1 and MX-300.

MX 300 look exactely the same as a MX 100 (MX-100 is a U1 Disklavier as said by Jeff Bauer : http://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthrea...ite_id/1#import ) but I guess that the MX-300 may be sold uniquely in Japan since I can't get any informations.

The only reference to MX-300 is here : http://www.yamaha.co.jp/product/piano-keyboard/successive/index-002.html

Does somebody can confirm me or give me some informations..?

Thanks a lot and happy new year to all from France

The MX100/200/300 M/MR range was for Japan only, which means you'll have to learn Japanese if you want to understand what's on the display smirk. The MX300MR is based on the Yamaha U3. It came out in 1989, which makes it one of the early incarnations of the Disklavier (the Disklavier first appeared in 1986). I would not advise anyone to buy one of these secondhand, unless it's for the piano itself, as electronic parts are unlikely to be still available, even if you could convince your local Yamaha subsidiary to try and get hold of them.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I bought it from International Piano - Paris / Pantin, there is a 10 years waranty, but I just discovered that it is 2 years for the electronics parts...
Hope I won't have problems!
