I seem to made a colossal error somewhere. I meant op. 2, no. 2, third movement - Scherzo. Sorry!

Also, is it alright if my entry is tentative? I've only been playing for 9 months, and I'm not sure how I'll get along.

Hmm. Since I'm finished HAVING to work on Op. 22 I'd better record it now so I don't procrastinate and forget too much then the deadline for this pop up and I have to drop out...

EDIT: What a TERRIBLE run on sentence!

Op 126? Op 119? 129 is the Rondo a Capriccio.

How should I record it? Audio only, or a video? And where should I upload it? Box.net? Youtube?

In truth, because the recital is so far away I hadn't given much thought to recording format. On the ABF e-citals are generally audio files only. That may be the easiest way to organize things. You could upload the file at box.net and send me the link. If you have a video camera with a good mike you could also record a video and extract the audio as an mp3.

I'm surprised nobody's claimed the 1st movement of the Pathétique yet. Put me down for that one. I can already play it so I'll get a hopefully polished recording to you in the coming month or so (university keeps me somewhat busy wink ).

Polishing the 2nd movement and have been working on the 3rd movement of Sonata #10 in G (op 14 no 2).
I would like to revise my entry and submit the whole sonata, if possible. No worries if you don't want redundancies and I will stick to only the 1st movement.

Hey Jazzyprof,

I don't want to speak for my son (he's Book_Worm here, or just Piano*Son to most people), but I could ask him if he wants his Op. 10 no. 1 included. We already have a recording of the first movement, and we'll soon lay down a recording of the second and third movements.

That would be awesome to have Piano*Son's op. 10 no. 1 included. I hope he says yes. I've seen his videos and he's got some serious skills!

Missed this thread until now. I've been working on Op. 101, did my first performance attempt last week and pretty well butchered the fourth movement.. now gathering myself up and going to try again! It should be in better shape by December, so why not?

Reminder:
"In the midst of all the online recitals for Schumann, Chopin, and Unsung Heroes, let us not forget that Beethoven's 240th birthday is in December 2010!

To celebrate this event, I propose we hold an e-cital of Beethoven's sonatas. If there is interest, I am happy to organize the event. Because his sonatas range from the fairly easy to the impossible, there should be something for everyone! To make this an inclusive event, there are no rules, except that pieces be submitted before December 15th, 2010. There can be duplicates. Single movements are acceptable."

jeffreyjones: I've put you down for op. 101. I'm sure it will be in fantastic shape by December!

EtudeBasher: You're in for op.26.

dolce sfogato: I've put you down for op.111. Perhaps you might want to record it now while it's in your head and fingers!

Kuanpiano: Yes you can submit the Waldstein! I've added you to the list.

Piano*Dad: Did Piano*Son agree to submit op.10 no.1?
