I've been looking at DPs in the Yamaha P-155, Kawai EP3 range. It would appear that the online merchants are selling the EP3 for about $1100, that is, marked down about $350. Any reason for this great deal? Is there a new model coming out or something? Would you buy this over the Yamaha P-155? Thanks.

I just bought the P155. I've played a Kawai with the same key action maybe a total of 20 hours. Both have good key action. Hard to say which is best.

The Kawai sounds very good but I thought the Yamaha was more real. With the older Kawai I think their weak point was sound.

When I bought my DP there was a large price difference the P155 was discounted to $940 and the Kawa were priced at about $1,600. But now if they are the same price you will have a hard time deciding, for me the choice was easy.

(I've not seen an EP3 but did play a CN seres with the same key action and sonud.)
