Hi, I am new here. I want to assemble a multiple track song on a DGX 620, and record the tracks separately. On my oy old Yamaha Clavinova, I could do this by simply turning off the volume of the the other tracks when recording the selected one(s).. On the new DGX I can not do this, apparently. I can record and rmove tracks only. So my question is, once I recorded all the tracks, how do I play-record them separately? Cheers, Satya.

You can record 5 melody tracks, and a separate accompaniment track (the 'A' track).
To enable or disable playing of a track: tap the number of the track (the big black buttons to the left of the screen). In the bottom right of the screen you can see which tracks are selected for playing (marked with small rectangle around number), and which track is selected for recording (marked with a filled rectangle).
To clear a track, press Clear together with the track number.
For recording, press record together with the track number.

Thx, it works!! One more question: How can I record the rhytm (drums) of a style without the harmony? (Btw, I do read the manual also, just do not find the answers..:) )... Tx in advance. Satya

I've only recorded solo-piano pieces, so I have no clue if it's at all possible.
If you have a PC nearby, you could try to record on your PC in MIDI, and edit the recording on the PC to disable the style's melody channel. Make sure to enable the 'style out' option in th DGX630.
