I noticed you can buy the Yamaha P85 with a stand that includes the 3 pedals but I can not find the P155 that has a stand with the 3 pedals. Is it not possible to have 3 pedals with the P155?

No. The P155 has 2 pedal outlets, one for sustain and the other is assignable to either of the 2 other pedal functions.

I have the P155, there are two 1/4" jacks in the back for pedals. The function of the pedal is set from some function keys. THere are about six possible values

So while the pedals can do anything from start/stop the recording session or act as a volume control or whatever you can only have two of those functions at a time because there are only two jacks.

From what i can gather from the manual, although you can tweak some pedal settings as well there seems to be 4 basic settings possible for the aux. pedal; 1)soft pedal (default setting when a pedal is plugged into the aux. out. 2)Sostenuto pedal 3)Expression; this setting allows control of dynamics during performance 4)song play/pause; lets you use this pedal to start/pause song during playback instead of using the play/pause buttons on the panel.
