Hi,
I was wondering... Does anyone know whether it is possible to connect an external MIDI controller to assign effects and drawbar settings via that controller, so I don't have to navigate the menu structure of the RD-700GX? (I am thinking of e.g. an M-audio UC-33e)
I am very happy with the various e-piano and organ sounds. And I love tweaking them by changing drawbar settings and applying the good built-in effects. If only there was a way to make it a bit easier to easily change drawbar settings or change effects! The MFX1 and MFX2 knobs are quite good for setting a different value, but if I want to change my Rhodes patch to e.g. a Rhodes patch with Phaser, the easiest way is to make a special set-up and switch to that set-up. The same goes for different drawbar settings.
Can anyone help me out?

Its got favorites presets can't you just set them up and use them? You have 100 you can call up by punching in a number and 40 you can use by pushing one button. You can easily connect a controller KB but its going to want to play the notes as well.

hi, thanks for your reply. I currently have made a lot of presets indeed, but I also need a piece of paper which tells me the effect assigned to each set-up. It would just be great if I can assign a button on a midi controller to a specific effect. This holds even more for drawbar control.
My question is, does anyone know how to do this?
