Hi everyone! First of all, as a total newbie, I'd like to say this forum is a great place to be and I'm glad to join it.

And here is my question to those who have some experience with Yamaha DPs. I'm just about to buy one. Most likely, it's gonna be a CLP320. To me it seems the best price/quality ratio. The only doubt I have is whether the pedals of this (and similar) pianos are built to last with careful but intensive use. If one has a stage piano, pedal replacement is not an issue. But I guess it's not that easy with a cabinet DP (as far as both the pedal mechanism and the connector are concerned). So do you think Yamaha cabinet DP pedals are sturdy enough to endure years of playing?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

First off pedal replacement is no big deal. Four screws and a cable to plug in. A ten minute job (see pg 34 of CLP320 manual)

The clavinova is not different from the Yamaha "P series" "slab" style stage pianos, The CLP is really a slab style piano that attaches to the same kind of stand using the the same four screws. The assembly instructions for the P155's stand and the CLP320 stand look about the same. I think the difference is the color of the plastic laminate.

Yamaha DP pedals are good enough and i haven't had any issue with mine after several years' playing.

Many thanks for the reassurance. I guess there are no more reasons for me to postpone the purchase.
