Very poignantly played, Joe. I think you are wise to keep that particular tune simple; it's sentiment is the better for it.

Yes, nice simple and sweet! Ever play Blackbird? That's a great tune too with lots of potential for solo piano.

I really enjoyed this - thank you smile Great, simple, but lovely arrangement - is it your own arrangement?

Joe,
Most excellent!

Yesterday (or is it Scrambled Eggs) is one of my faves and you play it so well.

Glen

Thanks Glen, I don't know "Scrabled Eggs" I only remember The Beatles' version as "Yesterday".

I have enjoyed your submissions too, Glen.

Hi Joe,
I am of the understanding the first working lyric for Yesterday was "Scrambled Eggs" before the actual words for it were written.

Keep 'em coming...

Thanks for your encourgement.

Glen

Studio Joe - Excellent performance. I usually don't like instrumental covers of Beatles songs but you captured the mood and beauty of this piece nicely.

I've just noticed this sub forum (sorry for bumping an old thread), and I liked the song Joe did (Yesterday)... I have been learning the fake book way for a few months now, and did Yesterday a few days ago, which isn't my arrangement of course, and it doesn't sound as good as the above.

Thanks for the compliments MIM.

Good job on your rendition, enjoyed listening. It's always good to hear another version of a song I play.

I always try to take the most original music.....I found it in the album "Beatles heartsongs"; Wise , London: Music Sales, 1988 (Copyright 1965Northern Songs)....

and it sounds like this (with some mistakes):

Yesterday; Lennon/McCartney

Best regards,
Johan B

I enjoyed listening to your interpretation and to the piano itself. What kind of piano did you use (it sounds digital to me)?
