Simple question really. Do you play barefoot or with shoes?

Myself, unfortunately, have played barefoot for the better part of three years and I've gotten to the point that if i try playing with shoes I can't sense the pedal well enough to use it correctly. frown

Yeah, I tend to play either barefoot or with socks only. I know what you mean about being unable to 'feel' the pedal with shoes on - they feel a bit clumpy on the pedal.

It's the same concept with driving a car - you get a much better feeling with thin-soled or even no shoes on.

Yes, I have played with just socks for so long I don't do well with shoes on.
How do you like your RX-Blak?

Absolutely love it! I was a bit worried about purchasing it at first, as i would be with any large purchase. But I've had it for 3 months now, and just got its first in-home tuning finished. I'd have to say I'm leaning heavily toward being a life long kawai fan. I play on Steinway L part time, and I must say, I like my kawai alot more.
