Who has the best price on a Yamaha YDP 223?

After all my researching pianos I have decided to buy a Yamaha YDP 223, I think it fits my needs since I want a console piano. I really like the P155 too but having a console is better for our needs.

I don't like having to push a certain key for the different voices its for my 8 yr old and the buttons would be much easier for him.

From time to time places online like music123 have 20%. The last time was during Dec but I don't think the 223 was part of that for some reason although it was unusual they seemed to omit it when the 160 was included. It could have been that is was out of stock so didn't show up on the reduced price. Anyway, you could email a few places and ask if they'd honor that 20% off that music 123 had last month. So, figure out what the price would be based on 205 off and just ask if they'd still give you that. You could even try music123 themselves but sometimes they seem more reluctant to do this since it was their sale and it's expired; sometimes other merchants are more eager to get your business and match/ beat the sale price even though it's expired. It should only be a mtter of time of course until a similar deal comes up again...many times people will post the coupon code for those here when they come up....but like i said try emailing or even just calling customer service at a bunch of places and see what happens or just wait ffor the sale to come around again.

So I guess you've decided that the Yamaha LP140 stand does not transform a P155 into a console. I think it does except for the color and lack of sliding keyboard cover. But the YDP223 does sound good over the speakers If Google can't find a good price and you can't wait for a "Presidents Day sale" at Guitar Center then at least try for a 10 or 15% off deal. Go in to GC and play the piano and when the sales guy walks over tell him you'd like it but are short of cash so maybe you'll come back in week. He'll try to sweeten the deal so as to close it. Asking for a percent off will not work. You have to set it up so they offer it to prevent you from walking.

I bought my YDP 223 three months ago at Guitar Center (Michigan). It was on sale at 1,599.00. I walked away telling the sales guy that it was an older model and I was open to buy if they gave me a discount. The guy said he could not. I drove to another Guitar Center ten miles away, and I got a brand new YDP 223 with a discount of 10%, i.e. I paid 1,420.00.

Musicians friend has them for 1495 so they've done a bit of a price cut already. I'd still take that price and lets see what's 20% of that, take 300 off of that and email several places and see if they'll give you that price (1200)...some places don't have it in stock (feb 10 same day music) but just email them all and see what happens....some may say something like 'well we can't go 20% but how about 15%?' who knows?

If you can get the 20% that would make the p155 960. Someone here the other day said they were quoted 915 but i don't know about that and they didn't say where. --I'd suggest either the stand meant for it (sometimes listed as the stand for the 140, same stand) which i got for 99. at contois music or the qiik-loc stand for 89-99 at z-sounds both of which put it at a height not too high like the X stands all do, too high that is.
