Placed an order for a PX-130 and CS-67 stand with Music123 this afternoon. Two hours later I get an email saying the PX-130 is back-ordered and an order has been placed with the manufacturer.

I'm worried because it was a used PX-130, so I have no idea how long it would take for them to get another in. Has anyone had experience with Music123 backordering something and even better a used item?

I got an unbelievable deal on this so I'd prefer not to cancel it but if its going to take months... sigh.

There are federal laws which govern backorders and how long they may take before they ask you if you want to cancel. I believe it is a month, and you can cancel any time after that.

However, it may be that they just may be out of stock and you will hear in a few days.

I had a good experience with Music 123,why don't you call them?

How can they "order" a used piano to fill your backorder? I'd cancel and look elsewhere.

This vendor has been poorly rated before. They're not thieves, though. Rather, the complaints lean toward poor service. (Check out the customer feedback on ResellerRatings.com)

It could be that you and someone else put the item in your shopping carts, but they pulled the trigger first. Now Music123 is either waiting on a scratch and dent return to send you or is scouring their connections for demos.

Quick update: I called and they told me that it may be a very long time for another mint condition PX-130 to come in. They told me that they could replace it for a brand new one at the same cost if I wanted (used + 20% off = $350).

As we were talking, a PX-330 used in mint condition became available so they swapped me that keyboard, added the 20% off used items coupon, and gave me 3 day shipping ($490). I decided to upgrade to the 330!

They were very communicative and helpful!
