Hi everyone
I have lost touch with piano playing for some time. What are some of the sight reading materials would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

I know of three series specifically for reading:
Right@Sight, published by Peters
Improve your Sight Reading! by Paul Harris, published by Faber Music
Sight Reading and Rhythm Every Day, by Helen Marlais and Kevin Olson, published by FJH
The first two follow the ABRSM syllabus. The last follows the Piano Adventures piano method.

It also depends on your level and what you enjoy playing...

Thanks for the recommendations...I was a fairly advanced and accomplished pianist but have stopped serious playing for many years. I did SR from Dorothy Bradley, Paul Harris, and Alfred when I was a student. I'm keen to try out new SR books while I return to practise my staple repertoire.

Well, I have a great book to recommend, but at the moment it's only available in Australia: How to Blitz Sightreading, by Samantha Coates and Michelle Madder. It's in two volumes at the moment that take you through to about Grade 4 ABRSM. But they are really well thought through. You can order them on the Blitz website - www.blitzbooks.com.au - but I'd email Samantha directly as I'm not sure if there is a standard postage charge for outside of Australia.

Elissa, Thanks for the Blitz website. It is a wonderful resource with useful, free downloads!

The sightreading books by Lin Ling Ling are good. They follow the levels for California's Certificate of Merit program (Prep thru Advanced, about 10 levels). I use them with my students and I use them myself. https://www.burtnco.com/linglinglin.a5w

Ann in Kentucky, Isn't it a great website?! Samantha and I just did a mini-tour of Australia with the co-author of the Blitz Books General Knowledge book (Abe Cytrynowski), and had a wonderful time. Her ideas about teaching theory really do result in kids 'blitzing' their theory exams!! And I think her Sight reading books are really fantastic.
