Nice. Went nice with my morning coffee.

Makes me want to clean up those three or four bars that I never bothered with.

Very nice playing, Fryderyk!

A few comments:

1. Most importantly, I realize how YT's infamous compression may be distorting your dynamics somewhat.

2. I like your variance of the pulse in the LH; IMHO that is very important to ensuring it doesn't sound dry.

3. I feel that the LH needs to be quieter and more legatissimo. You want the harmony changes to be smooth and seamless, and approaching the LH with a legatissimo touch ensures that that is the case.

4. Your shaping of the melody is very nice! thumb

5. In bar 16, note that you are making a decrescendo down to a forte dynamic indicated in bar 17. Be sure that bar 16 is played with sufficient strength by the top of the preceding crescendo to bring that out. Again, it is hard to say exactly due to YT compression.

A very nice performance! Thanks for sharing. smile

The pleasure is all mine! You play this piece well; with a bit of polishing, I think I might like your rendition better than some professional performances I have heard. I'm sure you've noticed that I'm working on it too. smile

Fryderyk,

I'd suggest some metronome work on the two bars with triplets. It sounds like you actually play the triplets in measure 12 slower than the eighth notes that lead up to them. The triplets introduce a drive into the next section of the melody that is missing in your interpretation.

Also on measure 18, I'm not hearing the 3 v 2 rhythm.

Overall, a very pleasing interpretation.

Rich
