Hi, I am new here. I just bought my wife a Kawai RX6. We live in a west suburb of Chicago (Aurora). With all the searching I have done on this forum it looks like we will need a Dampp-Chaser system. Could anyone give me a tip on who to use on a install? Is there a system difference when you put one on a 7' grand? Any help you could give us would be great.
Thanks Gary

Most piano techs have the resources to acquire, install, and give good advice on the necessity and care of such an item. If you didn't purchase from a store, contact a local piano store for a tech referral.

Congratulations on the RX6! My teacher has a Kawai and it is a fine piano.

The RX 6 is a sweet piano! Your tuner will appreciate it! Any GOOD tech in your area should be able to install a dampp chaser without too much difficulty, given the climate.

Nice piano, great choice! As for the humidy control system, on a larger piano like the RX6, the tech will most likely install several of the dehumidifier rods. Here is a website for installers in your area. http://www.dampp-chaser.com/results2_usa_state.asp

Congrats!
