I took private lessons for 12 years, but just started teaching. I have noticed that my beginners have a really hard time curving their fingers. Do I need to really push this, or does this come with neurological maturation. Also, can you recommend a good pedagogy book on teaching technique? I'm sure I learned as a child, but it's been almost 30 years, and I don't remember much about those beginning lessons.
