Wow!! Thank you Inlandig! This time you inspired me to play this prelude, your tempo is just the tempo I prefer in this piece! Some people play it slower, some people play it faster, I think your "inner tempo" matches mine. I don't know if the Fugue part is beyond me or not, what you think? cheers al-mahed, That was a very well-played Beethoven ~~ excellent, in fact! You are an inspiration to practice more regularly and diligently. In my case, too much playing and not enough practicing, that is for sure. It is very different doing this when you can see that little red light come on! You can hear a couple of things falling to the floor as I was playing - the first one at 1:09 even seemed to have awakened me. Bach's Prelude in C Major BWV 846Glen

I liked the godfather waltz pretty much, thank you for sharing this, nice playing! Just chiming in with a quiet, relaxing little Chopin piece. Hey! That's the very piece I was planning on doing next for the piano bar! You beat me to the punch! ...and set the bar high. I like your recording very much. You do a very good job of bringing out the parts that I like best about that prelude. Thanks Sean! By all means, don't let me stop you! I await your performance with great anticipation. Edit: Thank you also TLT! It's comments like these that make everything worth it. PS: If anyone is still trying to access the Julia recording from the other page, you'll get an error message. I removed the previous recording and put up a new one (I played it a little slower this time, I like it better), here's the new link: Final Fantasy VIII - Julia How about a few more recordings while we're at it? All of these were done within the last several days: Chopin - Prelude Op. 28 No. 15 "Raindrop" Chopin - Waltz No. 19 in A Minor Nino Rota - The Godfather Waltz Chrono Cross - Arni Village (Another World) The last one is also from a Playstation 1 videogame, that came out in the year 2000. A lot of great music in that game. Thanks for listening! Again, videos for all recordings are in my signature if anyone is interested.

Hi All, I’ve really enjoyed all the submissions to the January piano bar! They were all great! I have a new recording that I thought about waiting until the February piano bar to submit, but we can only live one day at a time. So, here is country classic I recorded this morning. The weather is kind of dreary here in west central Georgia, with snow and ice in the northern region of the state. So, I’ve been enjoying my piano and entertaining myself! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMSssTjvVMsI hope you enjoy it! Rick

Again, Rick, I'm in awe of your voice. Just perfect.
Now how about: "Make the snow go away. Get it off - my pavement. Let the sun shine again. And make the snow go away"?
Whaddaya think?

Oops, meant to post this one last night but guess I forgot... I made this recording 5 days ago, but while we're on the preludes: Chopin - Prelude Op. 28 No. 20 My dynamics could've used a little more control on the third passage (should have been a little softer) but I didn't realize it until I listened to myself play, at which point I didn't really feel like making another recording. I really enjoyed your Chopin. Your new digital sounds great! I've been idly thinking of how nice it'd be to have one for late night practice. One suggestion -- your chords sound a bit thick. Try to do more voicing of the soprano and bass. You might be interested in visiting this thread discussing Rachmaninoff's variations of this prelude.

Rick: Great vocal on this old standard! I,ve always liked this song. Here is one I recorded (multi-track) years ago in wich I sing four part harmony with myself. I also play the harmonica part as well as the piano. A Hole in my Sole-- Btw, I wrote the song. If the link above don't stream here is a download. Down Load mp3

Studio Joe- thanks. I just tried to use the streaming link in IE and it worked fine. I can't get it to work in Firefox so I must have an option set wrong.

Thanks for that info Bill, now I know. It seems that the .mp3 files are more universally compatible.

Thanks for the comments, All! And, Ten Left Thumbs, yes, I want to make the dreary weather go away and let the sun shine through! And, Joe, I agree with Bill, you are incredibly talented and that song sounds like something you would hear on the radio or a TV show! It was great!!! And, I love your complete home studio and recording set-up. I guess that is why you are "Studio Joe"!! Take care!! Rick

I did the 'studio recording' thing semi-professional for a while and still have some of the equipment in a spare bedroom. It's a great hobby.

Wow, Monica! I liked that very much! You have a really nice sense of rhythm, as well as being very musical.
I had to laugh, tho, because before I hit the "play" button it took me a minute to figure out that you didn't have your hands on backwards -

Rickster, I enjoyed your song. I can certainly remember Eddy Arnold singing that one. You did a really fine job with it. Reminded me of the night I spent in Micky Gilley's little club. Monica, Nice!
