One of the biggest things I like about this board is just the "camaraderie" of sharing what we're doing at any given time, seeing the growth, etc. Haven't posted anything in quite a long time since I'm in rather a composing doldrums, but did manage to write something for the choir I play for this year. In the past I've done arrangements for them but this is the first original I've done for them. Yes, it is choral, and be warned it contains religious material (this was a Christmas concert). The piano gets a little interesting in the middle section. I was pleased with it because I thought it added a good measure of ambiance to the song, yet it was very simple to play (I did it memorized, which I NEVER do as an accompanist), and it sounds like more than it really is to the untrained listener. www.box.net/shared/5lgv2sgicy (windows media file)

Hello musiccr8r!!! Long time no see I'm looking forward to checking out your music, it's been a while. Unfortunately your link only gives me a .CDA file; it's only 44 bytes so I don't suppose that can possibly be your recording Hope to hear your piece soon! Regards, Tar

Oh musiccr8r!! 1:25 is divine! And that resolution at 1:45... And the staggered C-D-F-Eb-D-C-D---C--- motifs over the rippling arppegios... and the motif's lontain execution at 3:02, and so many other things. There are many very good compositions posted in this Forum, but your style particularly touches me. I feel our musical senses share a common playground. Don't take me the wrong way, but listening to this music is like seeing my own reflection Thank you so much for posting it! Tar P.S. Just wanted to add that I could imagine some of the piano part going to the harp, especially at the beginning. More pastoral feel for the shepherds!
