I also find it difficult to be original but also realize that mostly I just read comments about MY piece. This year I'm trying to listen to each piece and comment on how I enjoyed or felt about it. I also don't feel qualified to make a lot of technical comments but do appreciate the time people take to listen and on my recording.

(continuation) I usually only make a general comment about the recital as a whole - and this one is wonderful, as usual. But this time I'm going to try to comment on individual pieces - which means taking notes so I remember what I wanted to say. Bear with me, as I can only do a few at a time this way.
13. Riddler (Ed) - On Green Dolphin Street Wow! This sounded so cool and jazzy. Makes me wish that I had gotten a DP with the rhythm options when I upgraded from my little keyboard. Nice!!!!! 14. Strings & Wood/CarlMc - Prelude in E minor OP. 28 No. 4 Really nice job on a difficult piece. I love the S_L_O_W ending.
15. ladypayne - Canon in D Canon in D is one of my favorite pieces that I want to be able to play someday. You played it well.
16. Schubertian - Variations Hob. III/77 For someone who "did not really learn this piece" your sight reading is excellent. Well done!!!
17. Mr Super Hunky - Waterfalls You have some wonderful music in your head, and I enjoyed listening. Thanks for sharing this.

Second bunch...
26. Serge88 - What A Wonderful World Interesting arrangement and quite good execution; enjoyed it much; merci Serge.
27. AnotherSchmoe - Eyes On Me Nice soft touch that gives this piece it's aerial feeling; very well done; thanks.
28. Teodor Tenchev - The Little Shepherd's Song Lovely musicality and accentuation; bravo.
29. HomeInMyShoes (Aaron) - op. 15, nos. 1, 4 & 8 1- Practiced that one last year but never got to such wonderful fluidity and expressiveness; bravo. 4- Not familiar with that one but love your wavy rhythm. Lovely. 8- Not familiar either but liked it much. Thanks.
30. Monster M&H /Les - Misty Nice arrangement that resists the temptation to drown a beautiful standard melody in superfluous harmonies. You articulate it very well and make it quite enjoyable and entertaining. Outstanding. Thanks. (Liked the sound of the S&S)
31. CMohr - Gavotte I & Gavotte II ou la Musette from English Suite #3 in Gminor I admire all who have the rhythmical rigor to play the baroque composers; I don't. Very well played; you make it lively and I liked it much; thanks. For Bach, I would recommend a tuna salad with mayo ;-)
32. NancyM333 - Revolutionary Etude (Opus 10, No. 12) Colossal endeavor, that; Bravo for seeing it through; thanks.
33. Ode2Joy1 - Chopin Mazurka in D Major, Op. 33 No.2 Loved the rhythm and nuances; nicely done; You should have no problem at your teacher's recital; thanks.
34. b528nf7 (Bill) - Someone To Watch Over Me Very entertaining, as usual; thanks for the enjoyable moment.
35. PaulMac - Minuet in G It takes rigor and determination to teach oneself; I admire those who can do this and not give up; Good rhythm and punctuation; liked it much, well done indeed; thanks.
36. mahlzeit - Recital 17 Mahlzeit, I always enjoy your compositions; You are very creative; this one is particularly beautiful. But, I felt it somewhat unfinished... Thanks a lot.
37. Alleykatt - Cathy - Theme & Variations From The Moldau These are quite interesting variations and your play is exquisite; thanks.
38. Norah - Le Onde As my teacher would say, very well articulated and melodious; You should be happy; well done; thanks for sharing.
39. Mark... - Prelude in A Major Op. 28, No. 7 So, that's what Chopin sounds on an empty stomach. (jkoc) Nicely done; all Chopin is difficult and gives a sense of accomplishment when completed; congrats and thanks for sharing.
40. Eighty8 - In My Life S... that was beautiful; exquisite playing; i am a fan of everything Beatles but find it hard to get good piano transcriptions. This one is spot on. I will investigate. Your play was superb. Thanks a lot.
41. DragonPianoPlayer - Chopin Prelude No 6 Deceptively difficult, that; we are not used to let the left hand lead; well done; liked it much; thanks.
42. eggsdeee - Alt Wien (Old Vienna) You give it a bouncy style rhythm that makes it very enjoyable to my hear; I can see dancing it slowing almost to a halt in turns; quite lovely; thanks.
43. Coldsalmon - Preludes Op.28 No. 15 in D-flat Major, Raindrop On my "to do" list but still out of reach; very nice interpretation of a great classic and arguably the "Ultimate Chopin prelude". Thanks for sharing.
44. bluekeys - I Will I will definitely will have to investigate that Keveren fellow; two outstanding arrangements of Beatles songs in the same recital is unheard of; You nonetheless get all the credit for bringing it to life in such a well-crafted interpretation. Bravo and thank You.
45. Quagles - Dear You Exceptional musicality and phrasing for 7 months; I certainly enjoyed Your interpretation immensely; keep it up and thank You for sharing.
46. pianahman (Richard Griffin) - Arabesque Isn't this the most wonderful piece by Schumann; your interpretation sounds great; mature phrasing, accentuation and rubato; thank You very much indeed.
These recitals are getting better and better; more comments tomorrow or friday. Cheers to all.

Wow! Thank you so much to the recital gurus that make this event possible. I've had a chance to listen to only some of the recital so far and EVERYONE sounds fantastic. I've been swamped and hope to get specific comments out later this week/weekend Realistically more like this weekend tho. And my thanks to those who have commented on my submission -- very much appreciated.

18. tdvance (Todd Vance) - Sonatina, Op. 13, No. 1, 1st mvt. For someone who has been playing for only 1 year, to play a piece from "early advanced" literature is so impressive. You played it well. Perhaps you can play the entire piece for the next recital. :-)
19. timmyab - Impromptu op 142 no 2 Lovely piece. Nice use of dynamics. Well done!
20. mattodono - Musette in D Major BWV Anh. 126 I love this piece and hope to be able to play it soon myself. Excellent!
21. mcasl - Erster Verlust, from the 'Album for the young' by Schumann, Op. 68, 16 I had to turn my volume way up, but it was worth it. Very pretty piece, well played. Excellent for playing only 15 months. 22. Jazzwee - Stella by Starlight Really nice improvising. I could listen to it all day. :-) 23. LaValse - Etude Op 2 Lovely piece - very relaxing. Excellent! 24. TX-Dennis (Dennis Turner) - When I Fall In Love Very romantic piece - perfect for Valentine week. Your playing is very smooth. Excellent!

Such wonderful pieces of music so far!! I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to each one of them.
Starting in reverse order...
69. wj3 - Irish Medley, Wild Irish Rose, When Irish wj3 ~ Eyes are Smiling and Londonderry Air It's been a long time since I've heard this tune. I always enjoy hearing it as it tells a such a good story. You did very well and now I am ready for St Patrick's Day!
68. Sam Smith - Bach Invention #1 Sam ~ those childhood skills certainly have stayed with you. The tempo was very consistent and the dynamics were excellent. Despite the fact you've been out of the playing-loop for awhile, you are well on your way. I enjoyed watching your hands move as you made your way through the piece. Fantastic playing!
67. EJR (Elwyn) - Solfeggietto Elwyn ~ No matter how many times I play this piece, the tempo is difficult to maintain as the dynamics change. It is an excellent piece for finger control and dynamics. Keep up the good work, slow it down a bit to help you control those dynamics. I am sounding like my own piano teacher now. Thanks for playing this one!
66. Augustina - Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring Augustina ~ you have so many wonderful tunes you play! You did great for your first recital. That crazy red light!
65. Copper - When I Fall in Love Copper ~ I've not heard this piece in awhile. If I were to offer any advice to you, it would be to tap your foot to maintain your pace. There certanly is a tendency to play slower when making a recording, that's for sure. I like the strings in the background.
64. BB Player - Comptine d'autre ete BB Player ~ Triplets are difficult to maintain in any piece. This is a relaxing piece of music. I actually leaned back in my chair and shut my eyes as you played - good work. Glad you decided to post this tune.
63. ShiroKuro - Summer ShiroKuro ~ You play with great energy, and this piece is a great outlet for a player like you. The pauses and details of this piece are expressed very well - it tells a good story. I very much enjoyed it.
62. Yamaha G3 & P-80 Mike White - E lucevan le stelle Mike ~ I'd have to say that from the recording you made, sight-reading is perhaps one of your strengths. I work at it almost daily and still struggle. Such drama in this Puccini piece - excellent! No doubt you have a great many tunes under your fingers just waiting to be played.
61. Mar_red - Kasztany (Chestnuts) & Suicide Is Painless (Medley) Mar_red ~ I am a big fan of the stride piano style. It adds a wonderful up and down beat and is a main reason the music has a swinging quality to it. What fun you must have playing! Your musical talents gained from years of playing other instruments are well-represented here. Very entertaining music.
60. Always Wanted to Play Piano - Sonatina Op.36 No.1 in C major - Movements 2 and 3 AWPP ~ You are having too much fun. That Sonatina is very bright and cheery - you clearly bring that out. Your website is very cool. I hope you are engaging your beautiful children in music, since you have such enthusiasm for it!
59. Bunneh - Valse a minor, op. posth. Bunneh ~ I like the slower version, as many folks have a tendency to play this too fast. It is clear you are connecting to the music and enjoy the pauses and ornaments that help to make this such a beautiful piece. Not just good, very good. That Roland is a fine sounding digital. ***** Five stars ******
58. TTigg / Steve C - Life & Death Steve C ~ Yes, I've not watched Lost - guilty as charged. The theme music you chose fits the title. I like the audio-visual production value and as always, I fully appreciate watching you play. Hard to believe you've only been playing a year and a half. You've got talent!
57. Mateusz 'Mati' Papiernik - Lute Prelude in c minor (BWV 999) Mati ~ Dynamics and control are there, for sure. You maintain a decent pace on a piece that is not so easy to play, not to mention to play well at the desired tempo. If you are not happy with your recording, I'd love to hear one where you are! Never heard of a Garritan Steinway, but the digital sampling is quite nice.
56. grotrianer - Ständchen grotrianer ~ You certainly have this piece under your fingers. You express the dynamics well. Keep playing it regularly, as it will become more and more refined. It is a very romantic piece of music. I loved it!
55. epf - Swipsey epf ~ I love how Joplin makes his way from major to minor and back again. No question if you continue to play this piece, you will have it well-in-hand. I like the tempo you chose for this.
54. MaryBee - Sonata Facile in C, K.545, Mvt.1 MaryBee ~ You do such a good job with this Mozart. Your tempo changes are good and with a bit more time, the trills will come more naturally to you. Bass and cello talk very well together. It's clear you've been playing awhile and those lessons are paying off. I just started taking lessons again, too!
53. jotur - Bethena jotur ~ My Dad began to play this when I was a child. He would play it late at night and I'd wake up hearing such wonderful, positive, uplifting music. Listening to Scott Joplin as a child is part of the reason I enjoy playing today. My only suggestion is to keep working through the difficult sections and keep your tempo constant. You are a good player - it is clear you enjoy playing this piece. Look forward to hearing it again!
52. Monica K. - Berlin Song Monica K ~ I'd not heard of Ludovico Einaudi until now. If I had any suggestion to give to you, it might be that you used the sustain pedal a bit more than necessary, although it might be called for in the score. I have a tendency to use the sustain pedal in several circumstances where it would be best not used at all. It is very nice to watch you play. I enjoyed several other pieces I was able to watch on your site as well. Lots of good work there - and you are self-taught? Bravo!!
51. IPIBAHN Sandy - Consolation Op. 19 No. 4 IPIBAHN Sandy ~ Mendelssohn is a composer to whom I've had little exposure. Even though you say it is not up to tempo, your dynamics and rubato make it sound very musical indeed. Thanks for sharing this - it makes me want to learn to play it! It is a beautiful piece.

12. TrueBeginner - Until Dawn Your original compositions always impress me - and with only 2 years experience too.
13. Riddler (Ed) - On Green Dolphin Street The percussion really adds something, but I can't imagine keeping in time with them...
14. Strings & Wood/CarlMc - Prelude in E minor OP. 28 No. 4 I liked your version - the left hand rubato keeps it from sounding too much like a drumbeat.
15. ladypayne - Canon in D I had to laugh at the video - but just the introduction! You played it very well - and I liked the page turns too.
16. Schubertian - Variations Hob. III/77 Wow, that brings back memories. I've never played this on piano, but in my past incarnation in a US Army band in Germany I played their anthem many times. I'll have to look this up sometime and give it a shot.
17. Mr Super Hunky - Waterfalls Mr. S-H, if you commit this to paper, I'm sure lots of people would want to play it (or try to) - including me...
18. tdvance (Todd Vance) - Sonatina, Op. 13, No. 1, 1st mvt. Loved it. K's music is not as easy as it looks. Let us hear the rest of it when you get it ready.
19. timmyab - Impromptu op 142 no 2 It does repeat a lot, doesn't it? Even without tthe written repeats there is a lot of repetition. I worked on this for awhile but never got the middle section up to speed. You've inspired me to go back and look at it again - very nice.
20. mattodono - Musette in D Major BWV Anh. 126 I've always loved the way this rolls along, almost like a mechanical instrument of some sort - you did a great job.
21. mcasl - Erster Verlust, from the 'Album for the young' by Schumann, Op. 68, 16 This is another of those pieces that is more difficult than it looks - at least for me. Great job, and I liked the video opening.
22. Jazzwee - Stella by Starlight Nice improv - even without a rhythm section I was bobbing my head.
23. LaValse - Etude Op 2 Excellent job on a very difficult piece.
24. TX-Dennis (Dennis Turner) - When I Fall In Love It was all good, but there was a very nice moment there when you started playing the part of the melody that I recognized - very nostalgic, like an old B/W movie.
25. ddh - Daniel - La fuente y la campana (The Fountain and the Bell) Very nice - and programmatic. I can hear the fountain and the bell...
26. Serge88 - What A Wonderful World Great job. You faked me out with the JS Bach music on the music stand.
27. AnotherSchmoe - Eyes On Me I have no idea what Final Fantasy is but I like the music - and your playing. Good job.
28. Teodor Tenchev - The Little Shepherd's Song Wow, only 3 months playing - you're doing great so far!
29. HomeInMyShoes (Aaron) - op. 15, nos. 1, 4 & 8 #1 is just perfect - spot on. (Have you noticed how similar it is to the beginning of the Arabesque?) #4 is so odd - not your playing, which is fine, but I just don't get the ending with the g. #8 is good, but not quite the polish of #1. Overall, a great job.
30. Monster M&H /Les - Misty The piano sounds great - and your playing too.
31. CMohr - Gavotte I & Gavotte II ou la Musette from English Suite #3 in Gminor I want to learn some pieces from the English Suites, but I'm not sure I'm ready. You did a great job with the trills, and the dynamics, and the differences in touch.
32. NancyM333 - Revolutionary Etude (Opus 10, No. 12) Bravo for even attempting this - sounds great.
33. Ode2Joy1 - Chopin Mazurka in D Major, Op. 33 No.2 The sudden dynamic changes were excellent - loved them.
34. b528nf7 (Bill) - Someone To Watch Over Me I always look forward to your singing and playing Bill - excellent job.
- more to come, Sam

42. eggsdeee - Alt Wien (Old Vienna) The term nostalgia describes a yearning for the past This is what came to mind when I listened the first time as well as the second time. Most enjoyable and your piano set the mood, thanks! 43. Coldsalmon - Preludes Op.28 No. 15 in D-flat Major, RaindropBeautiful selection... such great drama! I must I will, learn this someday. However, I fear it will expose me as a less than talented piano player, as most of Chopin's works are prone to do. You, on the other hand, handled this quite well and give me hope, very nice! 44. bluekeys - I WillThanks for all of the hard work and countless recordings to get this to the recital... it was time well spent. I enjoyed it very much. 45. Quagles - Dear YouQuagles, I am glad you were able to work though the recording logistics, this is a very nice surpise here. You have come a long way in a short period of time. Keep up the hard work, it is paying off in the form of music, which I did enjoy! 46. pianahman (Richard Griffin) - ArabesqueThanks for the additional information on this piece, and a very beautiful performance!

More beautiful pieces!
Glen
50. Euan Morrison - Opening (from Glassworks) Euan ~ Another composer I've never heard before...where have I been hiding? Lots of repeated syncopated rhythm there which must make it difficult to play. I think the left hand could be a bit more pronounced, but it is articulated clearly in your recording. Thanks for sharing this piece.
49. Tenolios - Vesper from Casino Royale Tenolios ~ ...and yet another composer I've never heard. It is hard to imagine you've only been playing for six months and self-taught. You have real talent, as it is obvious you are connecting with the music and expressing it. I look forward to hearing more of the music you enjoy playing.
48. Musictuary - Sonatina in C Major - Op. 55 No. 1 Musictuary ~ Kuhlau was my first challenge as a returning piano student. Your staccatos are excellent and you portrayed the dynamics of the piece. A bit more focus on the left hand and you've got his piece nailed! I am in no position to give you feedback beyond that as I think it is wonderful, such a simple and upbeat piece as expressed.
47. Inlanding/Glen - Prelude in C Major BWV 846 Glen ~ of the interminable number of attempts at getting it correct, this one made the final cut. You gotta relax when recording, as it was clear you were getting used to not using any sustain pedal to cover your mistakes. Increase the tempo a bit, keep the left hand even in volume with the right and finish with a bit more enthusiasm.
46. pianahman (Richard Griffin) - Arabesque Richard ~ Schumann is one of my favorites, for sure. You are clearly connecting with the music and expressing it. If I were to offer up any advice whatsoever, it would be to tune that wonderful piano, as I can only imagine how much better you'd play this piece. Thank you *****Five Stars
45. Quagles - Dear You Quagles ~ ...Dai, another composer I've not heard. A very contemplative piece of music. You did a great job and it is clear you enjoy playingit...and after only seven months - Wow! I think the recording is just fine. Look foward to hearing more of your music.
44. bluekeys - I Will bluekeys ~ The Beatles were so prolific and you picked a great, not-so-common, piece to play. You did it very, very well. Thank you!
43. Coldsalmon - Preludes Op.28 No. 15 in D-flat Major, Raindrop Coldsalmon ~ Chopin, such a Romantic. This is such a difficult piece to get right and you did a great job here. A slight improvement would be accentuating the bass when the right hand plays the accompaniment. Your dynamics, however, are spectacular - such power. You definitely get this piece. I will listen to this one repeatedly!
42. eggsdeee - Alt Wien (Old Vienna) This piece puts me in Vienna in the teens and twenties. Godowsky - "The pianist of pianists". You did such a wonderful job with this piece.
41. DragonPianoPlayer - Chopin Prelude No 6 DragonPianoPlayer ~ I so much enjoy Chopin...My only suggestion is to increase the left hand melody and lessen the right hand accompaniment a bit. My Dad used to play this all the time and it took me back to my childhood days of hearing him play all the great composers. Thank you.
40. Eighty8 - In My Life Eighty8 ~ You are a very good player. I can practically hear you singing it to yourself as you play. A classic in every way, as are so many Beatles pieces. Fantastic.
39. Mark... - Prelude in A Major Op. 28, No. 7 Mark ~ I love the tempo you chose for this piece. If I were to make any suggestion, connect those coupled notes. I'd like to hear you play this one again, for sure.
38. Norah - Le Onde Norah ~ Ludovico Einaudi is very popular on this forum - what have I been listening to all this time? From the sound of this piece, it is clear you are connecting with the music and expressing your feelings of it through your playing. Your use of the pedal was very much in concert with what you were expressing. I enjoyed very much listening to you play, Norah.

Frozencicles, Bill, CMohr, Strings & Woods, Jazzwee, Bunneh, HomeInMyShoes, Dennis and Sam: thank you all for listening and commenting. It is truely appreciated and lets me see how others of similar passion perceive my music. Bunneh - Yes, I do breathe loudly ; I will try to turn the H4n away from me and see if the darned thing picks it up still. Sam - I looked up programmatic but... is it good or bad ? Thanks again.

47. Inlanding/Glen - Prelude in C Major BWV 846Well done, this one places a magnifying glass on technique, which I thought displayed quite nicely! You can come play my piano anytime... I'm sure my piano would apreciate the upgrade! 48. Musictuary - Sonatina in C Major - Op. 55 No. 1Delightful, thank you! 49. Tenolios - Vesper from Casino RoyaleNice playing, I enjoyed listening. 50. Euan Morrison - Opening (from Glassworks)Maybe it is my headphones... but I thought the left hand came though quite nicely, as well as your playing of this Philip Glass piece. Good job!

More great music and playing! Glen
37. Alleykatt - Cathy - Theme & Variations From The Moldau Cathy ~ Wow! This was very nice and expressive - you sound so connected to it. From the sound of it, you have/had many good pieces to post and this one happened to make it to the top. Simply excellent. Thank you. 36. mahlzeit - Recital 17 Matthijs ~ Very thoughtful approach to your composition. How do you do that? Thank you!
35. PaulMac - Minuet in G PaulMac ~ very well executed! Timing is so key in Bach and you maintained it quite well. Self-taught?? Fantastic work.
34. b528nf7 (Bill) - Someone To Watch Over Me Bill ~ Once again, you come up with yet another great arrangement to accompany yourself! It is an impressive feat, for sure. Very entertaining.
33. Ode2Joy1 - Chopin Mazurka in D Major, Op. 33 No.2 Ode2Joy1 ~ This is beautifully played. The ornaments and dynamics are quite nice. No doubt you will do well in your live recital. It was a pleasure watching and listening to your performance.
32. NancyM333 - Revolutionary Etude (Opus 10, No. 12) NancyM333 ~ Very impressive! This is such a physically demanding piece. I began learning to play it and actually injured my left forearm from working on it too much. My Dad used to play this excellently and I thought the ceiling was going to cave in! I congratulate you on sharing your rendition. Given more time, it will smooth out for you and the left hand dynamics will flow as the melody from the right hand pleads with the driving left. Such a powerful piece. BRAVO!!
31. CMohr - Gavotte I & Gavotte II ou la Musette from English Suite #3 in Gminor CMohr ~ Fabulous! I am always amazed at folks that can manage counterpoint and you did great - such skill. Your training from way back certainly shows in this wonderfully executed piece. That old piano sounds wonderful!
30. Monster M&H /Les - Misty Les ~ Your wonderful rendition swings very nicely. Errol Garner and Johnny Burke would be proud. This was very enjoyable - your subtle improvisations and ornaments are terrific!

7.- Ten Left Thumbs. Well, for ten left thumbs you handled that blues pretty damned well. I hope you keep working it and "make it yours". You can really take it places. 8. Me... many thanks to all the kind comments so far on my piece. I just listened again and cringed as I went into the triplets. I can see I have a ways to go before I start to play that as smoothly as it should be. 9. Mandrew. I love the complexity of the chords. It's a very rich version and you really play it well. 10. joangolfing. Wow... what a pretty piece. You really have the feel for it. 11. John Frank- John, I didn't read a thing... just went to "play" and boy was I surprised (pleasantly) by your intro. Wonderful playing. You keep getting better...

Why, thankyou Peyton. Coming from you that means a great deal to me! 13 Riddler, Green Dolphin StreetI really enjoyed this, Ed. I like listening to jazz, and I don't pretend I can comment intelligently about it. But I do like the way you put this together, with the drums and the effects. And the piano's not half bad too.

38. Norah - Le OndeBeautifully played and very soothing. I need to listen to more Einaudi.. If you made 'mistakes', I sure didn't detect them! 40. Eighty8 - In My LifeAh! I am such a Beatles fan, of course I would love this! I'll bet you could have played the bridge, though, and it would have blended in quite nicely 44. bluekeys - I Will More Beatles! (It's not 'lesser known' by me!) You have definitely captured the feel and mood of the piece, even if you don't think so. I loved it- very nice arrangement and nice playing. Three months really isn't a long time, and you've done very well in that short time. 53. jotur - BethenaI loved this piece the first time I heard a friend play it, and I really enjoyed your version too.. I was tapping my foot the whole time I listened, so yes you did give it a nice waltz rhythm! This is definitely on my 'must learn' list-

Another great round of music ...thanks, all!
29. HomeInMyShoes (Aaron) - op. 15, nos. 1, 4 & 8 Aaron ~ It is clear you've been studying Schumann, one of my favorite composers. Your dynamics are fantastic and your digital piano sounds quite good.
28. Teodor Tenchev - The Little Shepherd's Song Mr Tenchev ~ Three Months - wow! What a great little piece to play and you did wonderfully. So nice to hear an uncommon beginner's piece. Thanks for sharing your skill. You have a bright future playing the piano.
27. AnotherSchmoe - Eyes On Me AnotherSchmoe ~ Never heard of the composer or the piece of music so expertly played by someone who's self-taught. Your hands move on the keyboard like someone who's been playing for years! Go, Schmoe!
26. Serge88 - What A Wonderful World Serge88 ~ Love that tune. A bit more dynamics in the left-hand to follow along with the melody would be my preference.
25. ddh - Daniel - La fuente y la campana (The Fountain and the Bell) Daniel ~ Another new composer to check out! I just tuned a well-prepped Pramberger 208B last week, so it is good to hear what one sounds like recorded. Glad you found a composer that speaks to you. A very contemplative piece of music - you must be thinking all sorts of things when you play it.
24. TX-Dennis (Dennis Turner) - When I Fall In Love Dennis ~ I like your arrangement of this fine ballad, Dennis. It is great to have in the background as I do other work. Thank you, Dennis.
23. LaValse - Etude Op 2 LaValse ~ The way you play this piece as it is perhaps intended, it pulls on my emotions. I enjoy the dynamics of this deep, thoughtful Etude. It would be interesting to hear you play this with a more economical use of the sustain pedal. This is a great piece to have in a repertoire. Such music...
22. Jazzwee - Stella by Starlight Jazzwee ~ If you don't already have one, playing like this will get you a gig. No question you know the melody like the back of your hand. You overcame the red dot just fine. This could very easily be on the playlist of a Jazz station. Thanks for demonstrating a wonderful arrangement!
21. mcasl - Erster Verlust, from the 'Album for the young' by Schumann, Op. 68, 16 mcasl ~ There is no First Loss here. Your study of this piece shows in how well it is played. I simply enjoyed it!
20. mattodono - Musette in D Major BWV Anh. 126 mattodono ~ Well done with this little Musette. You will be able to show the dynamics as written much easier when you play your upright.
19. timmyab - Impromptu op 142 no 2 timmyab ~ You really show the dynamics of this fighter, early Romantic! You preserve his music with such skill. Thank you!
18. tdvance (Todd Vance) - Sonatina, Op. 13, No. 1, 1st mvt. Todd ~ No one would ever guess you have one year of experience at the piano from listening to this! Very nice - keep up the good work.
17. Mr Super Hunky - Waterfalls Mr Super Hunky ~ That is some composition you have there played on a very powerful M&H BB. Look forward to hearing more of your music. BRAVO!
16. Schubertian - Variations Hob. III/77 Schubertian ~ Impressive sight-reading, playing all the ornaments, rubato, dynamics of this sweet sounding, historical piece. I'd like to know what happens when you really practice a piece of music you like. Wow!
15. ladypayne - Canon in D ladypayne ~ I like how thoughtfully you played this piece. Good tempo changes and dynamics. This should be in your permanent playlist.

41 DragonPianoPlayer - Prelude No 6, Chopin Next time I'm in the Denver area I've gotta try Senior Miguel's - I love hot chili. That's a nice enjoyable performance. Chopin is never easy. You dun gud.
42 eggsdeee - Alt Wien (Old Vienna), Godowsky That sounds like a fun piece to play around with. A very enjoyable performance.
43 Coldsalmon - Preludes Op.28 No. 15 in D-flat Major, Raindrop, Chopin A most impressive performance. Your raindrops keep falling at a very consistent tempo, and that is tough to do with this long piece. Beautiful touch! Bravo!
44 bluekeys - I Will, Lennon/McCartney I don't know this song, but it is quite beautiful. Excellent timing and touch. Another really enjoyable performance. My wife even likes it, and she hates piano music (at least when I play it).
45 Quagles - Dear You, Dai Like most of us, you are too hard on yourself. This is a most enjoyable performance of a new (to me) piece. I really like this one.
46 pianahman (Richard Griffin) - Arabesque, Schumann What a treat to have Schumann so well represented in this recital. Yes, this is one of his best known pieces, and you have definitely done justice to it. I certainly enjoyed your performance, Richard.
47 Inlanding/Glen - Prelude in C Major BWV 846, Bach Glen, in the short time you have been participating here I have developed an immense respect for your playing. This piece only adds to that respect. I would have sworn this was recorded with a digital piano - perhaps it is the mic placement, my ears or something. Very enjoyable!
48 Musictuary - Sonatina in C Major - Op. 55 No. 1, Friedrich Kuhlau A very enjoyable performance. Excellent job!
49 Tenolios - Vesper from Casino Royale, David Arnold This is one of the few movies I can say I have actually seen as my wife insists on viewing each new Bond picture. I remember this piece form the movie. Beautiful job!
50 Euan Morrison - Opening (from Glassworks), Philip Glass Tricky rhythms there. You pull them off very nicely. I find the piece itself rather boring, but that is my shortcoming I'm sure. I can find no fault with your performance of it, though. Most excellent!
Tomorrow, perhaps . . .

Thanks to everyone for sharing themselves in music. Regardless of where we are, what we think, what we do, we have an indellible commonality and tie to something that transcends all boundaries and discriminates against no one. It's been a pleasure learning from each of you, your playing. I am so glad I found PW. Thanks to Monica and mahlzeit for helping to make this venue and activity such a pleasurable experience. Look forward to more e-citals, more practice, more red dots and sharing more music with everyone in the Piano Bar and other threads dedicated to sharing music...;)
Glen
14. Strings & Wood/CarlMc - Prelude in E minor OP. 28 No. 4 CarlMc ~ sure looks simple, doesn't it? Good rubato and tempo. No matter how many times I attempt to play this piece, it never sounds right - the dynamics for some reason elude me. You did very well. Sounds like you've been playing a bit and it would be good to hear you play other pieces.
13. Riddler (Ed) - On Green Dolphin Street Ed ~ you got it goin' alright. Such great swing and I really enjoyed your improvisation staying close to the melody. I love the way you accompany the bass player - awesome! Makes me tap my foot and nod my head - mission accomplished!
12. TrueBeginner - Until Dawn TrueBeginner ~ I like the darkness of the piece, ending with a wray of hope. Very talented to create such a piece. I'd recommend you printing this one, as others might want to learn it.
11. John Frank - Ashokan Farewell John ~ From its sound, playing this wonderful piece from memory gives you time to contemplate and express what you are thinking and feeling at the time. It is expressed well and clear that you enjoy playing it by your timing and tempo.
10. joangolfing - Prelude No. 4 in F Major joangolfing ~ You are skilled player. Thanks for sharing this piece. Once again, another composer that is completely new to me. Great, soulful pauses in your playing.
09. Manndrew - Danny Boy Manndrew ~ That Roland sounds fantastic! Your long history of playing really shows. Very well played rendition of Danny Boy. Simply easy on the ears with silky harmonies and complex chords over simple melody.
08. Peyton - Thoughts of Anne Peyton ~ Speechless...thank you for sharing your gift of composing. I absolutely enjoyed the melody and the support you give it with the left hand. This is so very good, all around!
07. ten left thumbs - Slow Blues in G TLT ~ The intro was fun to listen to and I love the driving bass supporting the blues melody in the right. Once you get control of a steady pace, this piece will shine. Look forward to hearing it again, soon. Such a great ending. You are good, TLT.
06. dannylux / Mel - Intermezzo Op.29 No.4 Mel ~ This is great, Mel. Sucn a grand piece!! I've never heard any of Eugen d'Albert's music. You play wonderfully. Not much I can say about your technique, since I can't play anything like that, but the piece is a joy to hear. You must enjoy playing this piece with all its twists and turns as much as I enjoyed listening to it.
05. BenPiano - Adagio in B minor KV 540 Ben ~ You studied this piece so well and it shows. Mozart's music is so very pure to the scale and to easy to recognize. There is a great deal to digest with this piece, much like his Fantasia in D-min, so many conversations contained in one piece of music. You are a good player to express this one - it is clear why you like to play it, for the same reason I enjoyed listening to it.
04. z32/Ben - Dream Ben ~ Another new composer for me. I'd like to hear this one without so much reverb. It is a beautiful melody. Thank you for introducing this piece.
03. Ken. - Minuet fait par Monsieur Bohm Ken ~ I am always impressed by folks that can play counterpoint well, and you do. Once you can keep the tempo consistent for this piece, it'll be nailed. Two years??? That is amazing. Look forward to hearing more from you.
02. AnthonyB - Nefeli AnthonyB ~ There are a few Einaudi performances in this e-cital. I like this piece the best as the dynamics and tempo are mixed according to the melody. It is clear why this composer has a loyal following. Two years playing?? This amazes me. Keep posting.
01. LisztAddict - Nocturne Op 9 No 1 LisztAddict ~ A wonderfully played piece in every aspect. Clearly you understand Chopin and express yourself through his music in ways many less experienced players will take years to understand. So many complexities you bring out in this Romantic composer's music. You are a fantastic player. It'd be great to hear you play other composers as your interpretation, expression and touch are absolutely superb! Thank you for your music.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions everyone. I have been studying Schumann quite a bit. Kinderszenen is one of two books with permanent residence on the piano. Mendelssohn's Songs Without Words is the other. Apologies to Chopin's Preludes, Mazurkas and Nocturnes which are on the floor. Everyone was much too kind on no. 8 which is honestly a terrible mess right now. I can play it better than the recording some days, but I really wanted to see how the trio would come out without recording them individually and as someone said in the recital submissions thread, the recitals are about what we are working on and where we are. Warts and all, indeed. If anyone has mastered this one I want to know what the trick was as there's just so much to keep straight: which hand takes a note written for both; which hand needs to be over top of the other; all the awkward stretches. As Strings & Wood heard and said, it is quite a handful for me and to play at pace is really stretching my limits. I've been back at it, playing through at half tempos over and over again. I hope it'll be better for the Schumann e-cital. No. 4 really is a bit of an odd piece, but it might be my favorite of the set right now. I find the last notes of the piece to be the most satisfying to play. No. 1 is a piece I play and work on all the time. I'll look at my sixteenth note timing some more. It's one of those pieces that come out different every time and you could probably tell my mood based on how it comes out. I was playing this one with very little rubato at one point and had to 'deconstruct' it again as it had gone too far the other way. It might be time to set the metronome on it again and tighten it up a bit. Sam, I have noticed that op. 18 and op. 15 no. 1 have a very similar opening and feel. I've worked on op. 18 a bit, but it's been shelved again for a few of Mendelssohn's Songs Without Words. Some day. I really am hoping all of op. 15 will be part of my repertoire at some point, but that is years away.

Continuing reviews at random:
24. TX-Dennis (Dennis Turner) - When I Fall In Love
Dennis - nice arrangement of a great old classic - nicely played too.
26. Serge88 - What A Wonderful World
Serge88 - very nicely and smoothly played - enjoyable listen.
30. Monster M&H /Les - Misty
Les - excellent interpretation of this great Earl Garner classic.
31. CMohr - Gavotte I & Gavotte II ou la Musette from English Suite #3 in Gminor CMohr - well, it's not David Lanz, but I liked it anyway - overall a great job on what sounds like some rather difficult music - I'm wondering if you slowed this down just a tad if it might be easier to get exactly the smoothness of performance you wanted?
More to follow...
