It's from the soundtrack by William Stromberg for a documentary called 'Trinity and Beyond'.

Good work!
I thought it sounded "movie-ish".....(and good movie-ish).

I actually thought it may have been the guy wrote the music score to Alien or Aliens.

What's interesting is that about 10 yrs ago I was fiddling with a piano composition of mine that was using alot of one of the themes I heard in there. I never actually went anywhere with it but it is cool to see someone develop the same general idea into that work.

I like how the anticipated tension is set by the opening strings accompanied with an unsuspecting solo flute almost portraying the innocence of the area they were about to destroy. The theme is very tropical in the opening to me.

The human voices were great as a means to reveal that man was behind this.

the parts while the explosion is being seen are both majestic and frightening as the bomb itself.

Oh one more thing on the whole bomb thing. I was watching a segment on the survivors of the atom bomb. And the bomb has 3 parts to it.

1. The blinding heat 4000-10000 deg C. Vaporizing people in a fraction of a second or turning them to carbon.

2. The gamma radiation that penetrates everything and burns.

3. The shockwave that turns everything into potential shrapnel to do additional physical damage.

Why my interest? Yesterday was the anniversary of the Castle Bravo testing.

Here's the video I watched: ** It's more of a movie documentary **

Not really graphic but also not for people of feint hearts
