I grew up playing the piano for years, then I went into High School and lost interest. Now that I have my priorities back in line I fell back in love with the piano. I am looking to purchase one for my family (mostly me until we have kids that are old enough to start).

I found Fur Elise at my mothers house and started to play it. I'm still working on it but it is hard when I have to go to my mothers home to play the piano. After I get the piano, I will be looking for other moderate classical piano pieces that I can play. I'm looking for something about the same degree of difficulty as Fur Elise. Any recommendations?

Try some Chopin preludes. They aren't easy. They really test your dynamic abilities and most sound excellent.

I recommend Solfeggietto by CPE Bach. It requires different skills than Fur Elise, but it's a beautiful piece at about the same level.

You might consider finding a book that is graded that has Fur Elise in it. The other pieces in that book will be a similar level. Keith Snell, for example, has both Fur Elise and Solfeggietto in his Level 5 Baroque & Classical book. He also has one for Romantic and Contemporary pieces, so that would give you a wide selection of pieces to choose from.
