Loud striking sounds

Hey,
I've just received delivery of a rental piano and i noticed something odd but because of my inexperience, am not sure if it is normal or not.
It's almost as if i can hear the mechanism swinging into place, or the sound of the key actually striking, it's removed from the sound of the vibrating strings, and it's not immediately obvious, is this at all normal?
Edit: It's not that loud, but it is present, i might see if i can get a recording up...

Ok i've managed to figure some things out.
1. It's the sound the hammer makes as it strikes the strings 2. It only happens after the 5th octave and continues right up to the treble end.
But what i'm trying to ask is, is this normal or weird? :P - I've only ever done digital
Cheers -Arkin

If I listen for it, I can hear what might be either the hammer falling back, or the key rebounding, but I don't hear it when I'm playing.
