Hi there, the piano tech who looked at my old Lipp told me that the guy who mentored him had designed an incredible new piano. I didn't really believe him so I looked it up. It's called the Stuart and Sons and it looks really really amazing. Here is the website Stuart and Sons If you have a moment search around and let me know what you think. I think it looks amazing - it is handmade in Australia and I have no idea about costs.

Lol. We all know this piano here on Pianoworld. It is superb. Cost? Well. let's just say. A small fortune.

I'm really itching to hear one in person. Hurstwood Farm isn't far from my parents' home, but I'm not sure I could justify taking up their time looking at one when I'm not likely to be spending that amount on a piano any time soon!

While you're looking at Australian pianos (should I say "whilst"?), check out Ron Overs: http://www.overspianos.com.auBoth of these builders are advancing the state of the art in piano design, past where it's been so long stagnant. --Cy--

The Stuart and Son's is an amazing piano. I have just been shopping today to play one! I am in Brisbane on holidays and took the opportunity to visit The Piano Shop which sells both Stuart and Son't and also Grotrian. I have wanted to play a Grotrian ever since I read Grand Obsession (fabulous book)...... However, there was a significant difference between the Stuart and the Grotrian. I think that the Grotrian is good value for money, but the Stuart is in a league of it's own. For those that have not had the opportunity to play a Stuart, I would strongly recommend that you do. It remains the best piano that I have ever played.
