I am currently looking for a grand piano.
After a lot of research, my choice is rather to the Schimmel K213T or August Forster 190, despite the size difference I hesitate greatly between these 2 pianos.
I would appreciate your opinion on these two pianos.

They are both fine pianos, so selecting one over the other should be based on your own personal taste, not someone else's opinion. Folks chiming in with opinions may prefer one brand over the other, but none have listened to and compared the two exact pianos as you have.

Having said that, opinions are fun to read...

Both are very fine pianos. Acoustically they are worlds apart. The choice will be subjective to your preference.

Choosing a piano is ultimately an emotional decision. We often react differently on different days, so multiple auditions are preferred. The right piano for you is the one which attracts you more and more and whose imperfections you can live with.

You're getting good advice here.

Do audition the pianos several times. Take some notes as you play them. This will help you think better afterward. If you are playing certain pieces out of your repertoire on these pianos, remember also to play simple scales very slowly so you can appreciate the action feel and hear the way the tone blends from one note to the next, especially over the breaks.

I have played both of these pianos in the past. They are both fine instruments. But they are in two different size categories. The bass response in the Schimmel should offer something more than the 190, but if you like other aspects of the Forster the choice could indeed be tough.
