I have not seen a whole lot of posts on Boston Gp215 but have seen and read mostly positive posts on Yamaha C7 and so I wanted to ask what some of you felt was a better piano. I have payed Boson Gp215 and have loved it and have purchased not too long ago a smaller Boston grand myself but have not had a chance to play a C7 yet. The reason I am asking is that the piano that needs to be bought now is not for my me but for the church and since I am responsible for choosing of the right instrument for the money I wanted to know what some of your experiences were when it came to these two pianos.
Thanks,

I personally believe the C7 is the very best piano that Yamaha makes. If you can find a new 7'6" Knabe, that should also be on your short list and in the price range. I'm not against the Boston, but the bigger Yamaha & Knabe would get my recommendation. There are other pianos I would suggest, but I don't want to take this thread far off topic.
What was your impression of the Kawai RX models?

I personally believe the C7 is the very best piano that Yamaha makes. I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment. I would add that I have tuned hundreds of Yamaha C7s in recording studios and at other professional venues. They are a consistent and reliable workhorse of a piano. regards,

I did enyoj playing the RX Black series very much but still preffer Boston's mellow sound. Yamaha C7 is what my boss has been mentioning to me for past week-two and aldough I am a big fan of Bostons I'll do my best to find us a good C7 so to give him a choice or two when making a final decision.

We shopped around for our church instrument a few years back and chose a C7. While unable to make direct comparisons since we didn't bring each candidate to our sanctuary, I can most assuredly say that our C7 has been a tremendous blessing to our congregation, and that it would be difficult to say we could have done better. Various pianists that have played it have said it is the best in town (compared to other pianos at other churches of the same denomination). One guy even wanted to sleep over just so he could play it all night. It has a huge sound, enough to cut through anything--other instruments, vocalists, etc.--and fills up the room despite the acoustics. Good luck with your decision. But if you make a bad choice, find a good place to hide!!

I've heard some great and miserable recordings of a Yam C7. Does anyone have a good recording of a Boston 215?
I've had the experience with a couple of smaller Bostons that I like the player's seat more than the audience's seat. Just curious if anyone can share.
