I am 25 yrs old living in my parents basement. Always wanted to learn piano so I bought a DP and a book and was wondering if I really NEED lessons to become a concert pianist. Also does anyone know if bong water messes up the electronics of a DP?

Horowitzian, I meant a much more recent thread, like "clunkers" or something. But that thread you gave me was also mentioned in the thread I'm talking about.

After reading through some of that I think there should be a thread titled "Who are you idiots and what garbage have YOU composed lately?" It's probably a good thing I wasn't around for that, or I'd have gotten myself a permanent ban, I'm sure.

We all start somewhere, don't we?

I mess around with Finale but since I've never had any formal training in composition, it doesn't really sound that good and I honestly don't have the patience to stick with a composition for longer than like 40 or 50 measures.

Huh? My comment was directed at those calling some of the greatest compositions in the history of music garbage. The fact that a person may not LIKE a certain work does not qualify said work for file 13.

OH I'm sorry stores. Yeah, you're right.

"Schumann concerto is garbage dog!"
On Piano Street's forum, SO many people are hating on Schumann and especially his concerto. It's sad, haha.

LOL. I don't get that. I think it's a great concerto (and much more difficult than meets the eye).
